Clement Dondeville, second of four children of August Dondeville and Alice Morgan, was born in August 1890 in St. Louis. He grew up in Memphis. Clement established his own business as a decorator and painting contractor. About 1917 he married Mamie Lois Parker from Clarksville, Mississippi. They lived on Auburndale in Memphis. On November 10, 1920, Clement Nathanial Dondeville was born.
Clement Nathanial worked as a cotton classer for a Memphis Cotton Broker. He married Jean Walker and had two children, Bonnie and Steve. Clement liked to play tennis. His daughter, Bonnie, who was a teacher, also enjoyed the game. She was an accomplished player and there were many articles about her in the Memphis newspapers. Clement Nathanial died October 24, 1998.
