Russell Dondanville , the youngest of of six children of Louis Dondanville and Janette May Beardsley, was born in Sheridan, Illinois on December 20. 1893. He attended primary school in Sheridan. On July 2, 1903, at age 10, Russell was critically burned when matches and fire crackers that he was carrying in his pocket exploded. He died on July 5, 1903. Russell was interned in the Sheridan Cemetery.
