MARTIN DONTENVILLE (1860 - 1917)
MARGUERITE WELSCH (1858 - 1929)

Martin Dontenville, the youngest son of Laurent Dontenville and Elisabeth Siedenmeyer was born in Dieffenbach-Au-Val November 11, 1860. Martin married Marguerite Welsch in Alsace about 1886. They immigrated to America in 1887. They began their new life in Brooklyn, New York. Martin worked as a stonemason. They later resided at 705 Warwick Street in Brooklyn Marguerite, now known as Margaret, became a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Martin and Margaret adopted a daughter, Edith, born November 1894 in Brooklyn, New York. In 1910 the family was living in Connecticut. Fredrick Koch had joined their household. Koch, who had come to the United States in 1909, was possibly a nephew. About 1915 Edith married Fredrick Koch and a daughter Edith was born. Martin died in Hebron, Connecticut January 30th 1917. Margaret's last residence was 512 Onderdonk Avenue, Ridgewood, New York. She died on October 20, 1929 in Queens, New York
